1. Scope

These terms apply to the ran.fi website, its language versions and online forms maintained by RAN Recycling Oy.

By using the website, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the website or submit information through its forms.

You may use the website for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:

• interfere with the website, its security or its use by others
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts or data
• distribute malware, excessive automated requests or other harmful content
• use the website for misleading or unlawful activities or to infringe third-party rights
• collect personal data or website content unlawfully.

We may restrict access or decline to process a request if the use breaches these terms or puts the website, its users or RAN Recycling Oy at risk.

4. Website information and prices

We aim to keep the information on the website accurate and current. However, we do not guarantee that all information is always error-free, complete or continuously available.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, scrap metal prices, service descriptions, availability information and other details on the website are indicative. Metal prices may change with market conditions without prior notice. The final price may depend on the material, purity, quality, quantity, weighing, collection and other case-specific factors.

A binding price or service specification is determined by a quotation, order confirmation or contract separately confirmed by RAN Recycling Oy.

5. Enquiries, requests for quotation and orders

A message submitted through a form, by email or through another contact channel is an enquiry, request for quotation or service request. Sending a message alone does not create a contract or guarantee a collection, price, schedule or service availability.

A contract is formed only when RAN Recycling Oy confirms the order or quotation or the parties otherwise agree on the service. We may request further information before confirmation.

Provide accurate and sufficient information and notify us promptly of any changes. Do not use the forms for emergencies or communications requiring an immediate response.

6. Materials submitted by users and user responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the information, photos, videos, documents and other attachments you submit. You confirm that you have the right to provide the material to RAN Recycling Oy for handling your matter.

When requesting the collection or processing of a vehicle, scrap or other material, you are responsible for having ownership, possession or other proper authority to hand over the item, or for acting under a valid authorisation. You must disclose information relevant to safety, accessibility and handling, including hazardous substances and exceptional conditions.

Do not submit unnecessary personal data, confidential information or material that infringes another person's privacy, copyright or other rights. We may use submitted material to the extent necessary to assess the matter, prepare a quotation, provide the service and comply with legal obligations.

7. Intellectual property rights

The website's texts, images, videos, graphics, logos, design, databases and other content belong to RAN Recycling Oy or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark rights and other intellectual property rights.

You may view the website and save or print individual pages for normal personal use. Publishing, commercially exploiting, extensively copying, modifying or distributing the content without prior written permission is prohibited unless permitted by law.

8. Third-party services and links

The website may contain links, maps, social media features and other third-party services, such as Google Maps. The third party is responsible for its content, availability, terms and privacy practices. A link or embed does not mean that RAN Recycling Oy is responsible for the operation of the external service.

9. Website availability and changes

We may modify the website's content, structure, features and availability or suspend all or part of the website for maintenance, security or another justified reason. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We aim to correct identified errors and security issues within a reasonable time. We may remove user-submitted material if it breaches the law, these terms or third-party rights.

10. Limitation of liability

You use the website and its general information at your own risk. RAN Recycling Oy is not responsible for decisions based solely on general or indicative information on the website.

To the extent permitted by mandatory law, RAN Recycling Oy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of profit, loss of data or business interruption, arising from use of the website, downtime, errors, harmful content or third-party services.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or any rights granted to consumers by mandatory law.

11. Privacy and cookies

The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Notice. Cookie choices are managed using Cookiebot. Non-essential cookies are placed on the basis of your consent.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law, excluding its choice-of-law rules. The parties will first seek to resolve any dispute through negotiation.

If no negotiated solution is reached, the dispute will be heard by a competent court in Finland. A consumer may also bring proceedings before the competent court in their place of residence.

Consumers may seek assistance from the Consumer Advisory Services and refer a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board. Before referring a matter to the Board, the consumer should contact the Consumer Advisory Services. Please note that the Board generally processes complaints only in Finnish or Swedish.

13. Changes to these terms and contact details

We may update these terms if the website, services or applicable law change. The current terms and effective date are available on this page. Material changes may also be announced separately on the website.
